What's up everybody, Bootsy Greenwood here, and today I want to talk to you about the magical power of intention. In Vadim Zeeland's book, there's one tagline. I do not wish, I do not hope, I intend. And intention is a very misunderstood concept, which is why I wanted to take a minute and talk a little bit about it. Now, folks, in I have a school group right now, and in that group, people are actively connecting to help each other accomplish their goals and dreams. And within there, people are asking questions and asking to clarify certain concepts. This is one of them. Tristan asks, he asks, what is intention? What is the difference between inner intention and outer intention? And so I'm gonna take on the first part of this question and I'm gonna post it here on YouTube. Some of these videos will only be available to the people who are in my school group. So I want to encourage you to click the link below, hop in there and join us. There's a whole entire course, it's absolutely free, tons and tons of resources inside the group. So go and check it out, come and connect with us, come say hello, hop on a call, we can interact and we can talk about what your goals and dreams are and how we can help to get you on the right path to those. The way that you're gonna do it, spoiler alert, is with intention. Okay? Intention doesn't mean, like I said before, like, oh, I meant to do this or I meant to do that. Intention is a completely different type of power. I would say that all magic, every form, is a ritual in order to create and cultivate intention. Intention is not desire, it's not hope, it's not wishing, it's not dreaming, and in fact, all of those things really sort of poison the well and keep you from getting what it is that you truly want in life. It may keep you actively from accomplishing or attaining your goal. In order to have something, you need intention. And let's define that as the author does in the book, which is a very difficult thing to do, but let's call it the resoluteness and the determination to have and act. Okay? If you have a pure intention for something, you're not drumming it up and making a big deal about it. You're not fantasizing about it, you're not sitting around pining for it all day and thinking of all the ways that you could have it. You're simply moving in the direction of it and as if it's already yours. Okay? Intention is, like I said, extremely hard to define. But I think we've all experienced it at some point in our lives. There was a moment for me when I was in college, and I didn't even know what was going on, but someone came in. I was a senior in college, and don't ask me how long it took to graduate, but I was a senior in college and I needed to do an internship, and I didn't know what my internship was going to be. I was completely lost. There was a lot of things changing in my life. I was leaving the town that I was living in, and my band was breaking up, and all these things were happening. But someone came in and they gave a presentation about the Costa Rica Outward Bound School. And the Costa Rica Outward Bound School was this place where you would go and you would train and you would learn how to climb ropes and do ropes rescue and raft guide and kayak and scuba dive and hike through the jungle and do all these amazing, adventurous things. And you would earn the certifications in order to be able to teach and be an instructor for outward bound. And we led groups out into the jungle and took them rafting and hiking and repelling and all that fun stuff, and then led like uh different facilitations within the group and do and did like hands-on personal growth in the middle of these courses, these seminars out in the woods. And I didn't even know that was a thing that existed at the time, but a girl came into our classroom and she presented her internship, and she showed some slides and some pictures from the rainforests and all that stuff, and she even said to us that it was kind of, you know, there were some things that were kind of red flags even still with the whole thing, but something in me knew that I was gonna do it. I didn't know how I was gonna do it because I didn't have any real means to do it at the time. I didn't have the money, I mean it was thousands of dollars and plus plane flight and all of that stuff, and I was just graduating college, so I wasn't sure how I was gonna do it, but I just knew that I was gonna go there, and I knew that I was gonna go through their program. And when I went down there, which I eventually did, and that's another story of as to how that all happened, but I eventually did, and then I was asked to become an instructor for them after going through the course, which frankly was kind of a surprise to me. That wasn't my intention to begin with, but I wound up accepting the job and the role as an intern, as an instructor, and got to have some of the most amazing experiences of my life. I met lifelong friends, and I was able to travel from Costa Rica to Peru, learn more about the the culture there, and travel all around the country of Peru, and then came back to the United States and became a raft guide on the Gali River, the New River in West Virginia, a river in Montana called the Gallatin, and I got to do the Salt River in Phoenix and travel to California and Colorado and do all these different rivers and see the country and be a raft guide for I was a raft guide for four or five seasons, and uh and I actually still do it sometimes up here in North Georgia. But I just knew there was something in me that knew if you've ever met someone and you're like, that's it, that's it's on, right? Like, or if you've ever had an opportunity and you're like, yep, this is it. That is what intention feels like. That's the feeling of intention where you're like, this is just a thing that's gonna happen. There's no bones about it at that point, right? Like it's not a desire. You can distinguish a desire from like, oh, wouldn't it be cool to scuba dive? I think that would be so neat. By the way, I did not like scuba diving. I actually hated it. I thought I was gonna love it, but not a fan. But you know, you sit around and you think about it and you you make a fantasy about it and you daydream about it and you romanticize it. And you're actually, when you're doing that, you're actually making it harder to attain. You're creating importance and you're making a big deal out of something that's really not that big of a deal. Like, even though it was kind of a big deal for me to go down to Costa Rica, that was out of my comfort zone, I didn't have the money, I didn't know how I was gonna get the money, I did find it. I did, I did manage to figure out how to do it. But even though all those things were actively stacked against me, it didn't matter. I just knew I was going to do it. That's all there was to it. And so that's what intention really feels like. I don't wish, I don't hope, I intend. And you put one foot in front of the other and you move in the direction of that goal. Now, to go deeper, there are two types of intention. There's inner intention and outer intention. And I'm happy to make another video and share the difference between those two things. And that I'll post only exclusively in the school group. So if you want to learn more about the magical power of intention and how outer intention works and how it differentiates from inner intention, then click the link below and hop into the school group. Connect with a bunch of other like-minded people who are pushing themselves forward, propelling themselves from within, actively accomplishing and attaining their goals and working together in order to help one another. I mean, guys, what more could you ask for? Hop in there and let's get to work. Do you really want the thing? Do you have an intention for what it is that you want in your heart? Or do you just want to sit around and visualize it all day and never actually get anywhere? The choice is yours, but I hope to see you in the school group. I'm doing free calls in there once a month as a group where we get to connect, and I've met some of the most brilliant and amazing people on the face of the planet. They're in that school group.
